Growing up in L.A. in the 1960s, Grammy Award-winning guitarist Lee Ritenour was immersed in a rich cross-section of jazz, rock and Brazilian music, sounds he has brought with him throughout his long career. A founding member of Fourplay, the most successful band in contemporary jazz during the 1990s, he is well known today as one of the world’s leading jazz/fusion guitarists. Often called “Captain Fingers” for his distinctive sound and fluid improvisation, Ritenour’s laid-back, supremely smooth jazz styling has won him Guitar Player Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010 and a legion of faithful fans.
Special Guest: James Robinson Opening for Lee Ritenour will be Bay Area favorite, acoustic guitarist James Robinson. Known for his emotionally compelling and rhythmic melodies, Robinson brings a wealth of influences, with elements of classical, flamenco, funk, rock and Middle Eastern music, into his eclectic, audience-pleasing style.

Legendary guitarist Sonny Landreth has been widely credited as redefining the very essence of slide guitar playing. His unique style combines the slide with fretted notes and chords, adding masterful finger picking to create a complex and multi-layered sound that sets him apart among roots rock and blues artists. His original sound and remarkable songwriting skills have found a warm welcome on stages around the country and more than once earned him a coveted spot at the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival.
Special Guest: Eric Gales Blues guitar phenomenon Eric Gales has an innate sense of musicality and the ability to transfix audiences with the intensity of his emotions. Bringing the challenges he’s faced into his music, Gales plays “every note like he means it,” making his life and his music synonymous.
Special Guest: Michael Landau Group The Michael Landau Group runs the full spectrum from jazz and blues, to blazing rock and roll with ease. A musical chameleon and highly skilled studio guitarist, Landau has recorded with everyone from Miles Davis to Pink Floyd, and recently played Carnegie Hall with James Taylor.
